Care & Services Provided
The Brambles aims to provide a service for elderly members of the public who need minimum to medium assistance in daily living. The home has full wheelchair access and a passenger lift; furthermore, throughout the home grab rails are provided for the assistance and stability of service users. We have the facility of assisted and non-assisted bathrooms within the home, which can be used at anytime. The home benefits from having large pleasant grounds, which can be enjoyed all year round.

Another of our comfortable lounges, this one has bookshelves stacked with exciting novels. The home believes that each resident should have as much privacy as possible. The home recognises that life in a communal setting and the need to accept help with personal tasks are inherently of a resident's ability to enjoy the pleasure of being alone and undisturbed.

We therefore, strive to retain as much privacy as possible to our residents in the following ways:

- Giving help in intimate situations as discreetly as possible.
- Providing locks on residents' rooms, privacy when using the telephone, opening and reading post and communicating with friends, relatives or advisors.
- Ensuring the confidentiality of information, the home holds about residents.

The home believes each resident should have as much dignity as possible, so we try to preserve respect for our residents in the following ways:

- Treating each resident as a special and valued individual.
- Helping residents to present themselves to others, as they would wish through their own clothing, their personal appearance, and their behaviour in public.
- Offering a range of activities, which enables residents to express themselves as a unique individual.
- Tackling the stigma from which our residents may suffer through age, disability, or status.

The home also believes that each resident should have a choice. Therefore, we aim to help service users exercise the opportunity to select from a range of options in all aspects of their lives in the following ways:

- Providing meals which residents as far as possible decide for themselves where, when and with whom they consume food and drink of their choice.
- Avoiding wherever possible treating residents as a homogeneous group.
- Respecting individual, unusual, or eccentric behaviour in residents.
