The home cares about the needs of residents that is why we only employ staff that are polite, friendly and fully trained. The staff
that we employee at The Brambles are dedicated professionals
who are committed to providing a high standard of care. They ensure that everyone who visits The Brambles always feel
welcome whether they are just visiting friends and family or who
are staying.

Friends and family are greatly encouraged to come and visit residents at the home. Residents are able to see their visitors in privacy if they wish to do so. Whenever possible there will be facilities for you to make tea or provide refreshments/meals for them. Furthermore should it be necessary to provide overnight accommodation, this may be possible in an emergency.

There is a laundry service at the home so residents are able to bring any clothing they wish to do so. The laundry service ensures a speedy return of each residents clothing. Our laundry has a built in sluice which is used to kill MRSA. We also have a seperate sluice.

Alcohol is permitted, although we do not sell it in the home because we would need a licence for this. If residents would like a drink then friends and family are more then welcome to bring it in for you or arrangements may be made to purchase it on your behalf.

Despite everything that we do to provide a secure environment, we know that residents may become dissatisfied from time to time and may even suffer abuse inside or outside the home.
To tackle such problems will do the following:

- Provide and, when necessary, operate a simple, clear, and assessable complaints procedure.

- Take all necessary action to protect residents' legal rights.

- Make all possible efforts to protect residents from every sort of abuse and from various abusers.

The management and staff at the home aim to listen to and act on the views and concerns of resident's and to encourage discussion and action on issues raised before they develop into problems and formal complaints. If anyone feels dissatisfied with any aspect of the home should, if possible, raise the matter in first instance with a member of staff. It may be that the member of staff can take immediate action if the complainant feels uncomfortable about raising the behaviour with particular members of staff then they should speak to some one more senior or the manager. The complainant will be informed of their right at any stage to pursue the matter with the CSCI.

Fresh food and daily menus provide a balanced and enjoyable diet for residents.
